Jessica Andino is ready to lead in Johnson County!

Born and Raised

Jessica a life-long resident of Johnson County. She resided in North Liberty with her parents (Randy and Luanne Ferdig) and sisters until moving to Solon in the early 2000’s. After graduating from Solon High School, Jessica moved to Iowa City to study at the University of Iowa. Jessica graduated from the University of Iowa’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2013 and completed her Masters in Public Health in 2016 from the University of Iowa College of Public Health.

After working 7 years at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in clinical and community-based research, Jessica became the Executive Director of the Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition. Her work at the Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition pulls in her passion of helping her community and improving the quality of life for all residents of Johnson County. In addition to her role, she is currently continuing her education at University of Iowa College of Public Health, where she is a PhD Candidate in the Community and Behavioral Health Department. As a PhD Candidate, Jessica looks at the connections between affordable housing and health for low-income Iowans.

Jessica co-owns a local construction company and a property investment business, where she has developed a strong grasp of budgeting, project management, and long-term planning. She believes in treating clients and tenants as neighbors, prioritizing follow-through, clear communication, and quality workmanship. These principles have guided her for more than a decade and shape the way she approaches every professional endeavor. Jessica brings this same grounded, relationship-driven, results-oriented perspective to her public service—always focused on delivering real outcomes for the people who call Johnson County home.

Jessica is very involved with community organizations focused on social justice and human rights in Johnson County. Her experience and commitment to Johnson County community has positioned her to be the ideal Supervisor for all in Johnson County!
